Tax Time

I should probably do my taxes this weekend. I'm pretty sure all my tax forms have come in from all the companies that I have stocks from.

I have a manilla envelope that I keep on a shelf in the office and all through the year I put receipts in it as I get them. Then starting late December and early January as they really start rolling in, I know where everything goes.

My taxes are actually very simple to do. I've been using H&R block for years. I used to go in, but a few years ago we got an email at work offering a discount so I've been using online for 3 or 4 years. Ok I just checked and I guess it's a trick it makes you think you are getting a deal but really you aren't. Oh well, it's only $34.90 or $39.90 to file Federal and State and there's not that much of a difference between the two. I don't have enough deductions to itemize so I file basic so it's pretty straightforward. The biggest thing will be adding up the Telephone Tax to see if I can beat the standard credit.
